Anokhee jeet ( A unique victory)

Scene 3
Welcome to the machine’ was the song played in Shah’s Beemer. The driver was little confused as he has not seen Shah listening to such music in years. “Do not care about speed limit! Just drive as fast as you could.” Shah said to the driver. Driver nodded his head and put his foot further down the accelerator. Shah was interestingly looking at the people outside as his car was speeding through the busy road. All these people sounded puppets to him. The thought that nearly everyone was in a hurry to reach nowhere sparked through his mind. He said to himself “All of them are after money like a barking dog after a bone” and then laughed. Shah closed his eyes as memories from the past started to haunt his mind. The journey from an ordinary salesman to one of the richest man in the city was similar to people he was laughing on. The notion that he has been a puppet too was hammering his mind. “Sir Diago’s place has come” brought him back to the present. He took a deep breath, and maybe it was a relief.
Shah walked down the dark stairs in an open hall in the basement. A man counting some boxes figured the entrance of Shah. He rushed towards him and said in a very respectful manner “Boss today you have come very early.” Shah stared at him and replied slowly “Diago today I want to get high early in the day.” Diago is a small man with a well built physique. He is been known for his interesting conversations. Diago has been a dealer of everything Shah has tried over the last twenty years to experience dark and more original state of his self.
Diago asked “What you want to have?” Shah responded “The thing that has been the companion of me for my entire life.” Diago at once figured it out and went inside a room. He came out carrying a bottle of Black label. There was a sudden spark in the eyes of Shah to see the bottle. Diago noticed it and said “Today you look as excited for the bottle as you were the first time we met.” Shah smiled and said “I will drink with you today.” Diago was surprised as Shah has never drunk with him in twenty years he has known him. “It would be an honour to raise a peg with the most legitimate business man in the city” uttered by Diago. Shah once again smiled and remained silent. Diago signalled Shah to follow him. They passed through a tiny passage in a well furnished room. The colour of the room was all black and there was a huge painting of a girl directly staring towards sun hanged in one corner. There were some uncovered CDs scattered in the other corner. Shah liked the room and there was an obvious calmness on his face as he has found the best settings for the session. Diago offered Shah to sit on very comfortable sofas and opened the bottle.
There was a silence for a while. Diago said “I always wanted to chat with you over a glass of whisky” breaking the silence. Shah replied “I was just waiting for the second peg to be over.” They both laughed loudly. Shah took a deep sip leaving a very little left in the glass. He said “What you think of this painting.” Diago turned his face and spoke looking at the painting” It portrays hope to me. As a girl in a dessert is looking at the rising sun symbolizes a new beginning.” Shah did not give much attention to the reply of Diago as he was too lost in his own imagination regrading the painting. He said “I think the sun is trying to take over the life of this girl. The eyes of the girl has an element of anger in them and she is staring at the sun trying to convey that she would fight with the glory of sun as her own grandeur cannot be overshadowed in the shining light of sun. Her one foot is in the air above the land depicting that she is about to fly to the heights of sun.” Diago interestingly listened to Shah. He responded “Sun also has an element of beauty in it. This shinning light is the one that overturns the darkness.” Shah poured more whisky in his existing peg and drank all of it in one go. He spoke “The darkness is also reality and there is no point of running away from it. Sun starts a new day and also a pointless effort. The entire days we just take orders and keep on performing tasks without even stopping for a moment to realize the purpose of this. I think people like me are like this sun controlling lives of millions of people. We play with the emotions of people on the basis of few dollars we have in our hands. We make them dream about the success that we never want to give them. We sound a symbol of hopes for the ones working for us just like sun but in reality we psychologically rape them by throwing few pieces of paper.” Diago whispered “You should never drink whisky because you start expressing what nearly everyone wants to say but could not break the shackles tied around their minds.” Shah shouted “ We have to break these shackles on our own. No one can help us. Allow the true self to come out!”
