Anokhee jeet ( A unique victory)
Scene 6
Shah parked his car nearly a mile away from Manly beach. He came out of the car and started to walk slowly towards the mounting waves. He looked at sky trying to figure out a pattern in the stars. He felt a hushed rapport between the ocean and sky. He laughed thinking that ocean and sky are both ogling at each other for discerning their glory and magnificence. The white sand was sparkling gorgeously in the light of moon. He took off his shoes and walked on the sand feeling a weird calmness under his feet. He felt a bizarre comfort in kicking the sand castles left over by the people in day. He suddenly felt waves of water tickling over his lower legs. He stopped and looked down for the first time and realized that he has reached the sea.
Shah took the half piece of hundred dollar and put in under a stone on the sand. He looked around. There was no one except darkness and piercing silence. He stood there and interestingly saw that mighty waves flow from the ocean towards land creating a roar hits into big rocks and breaks in pieces. He felt that rocks stood speechless without any emotions. He uttered “These waves represent life and these rocks are symbols of death. The life full of emotions and passions strike with the death and ends up in passive silence. These rocks absorb few drops of water in them after the collision. These few drops are the moments of our lives that make our death meaningless and complete.”
He looks at his Beemer parked a mile away and then stared at the sky. “Three days! Three days! I was allowed to live for three days. I make my own decisions and have chosen to live for just a day. The other two days were like those sparkles of water that never hit the rock. I am not afraid to die. I have achieved glory and meaning of my life. I have always won and I have won again” growls in the open sea. He walks in the sea staring at the sky.
The sea is calm as usual and sky is shinning with the stars as it should.
